Tool 03 · Search Intent & Margin Analyzer

Which new queries are actually worth the spend?

AI Max will find you thousands of new search terms. A machine discovering more ways for people to spend money on you is not automatically valuable — the useful part is knowing which new intent patterns produce real customers.

Before you upload

Export exactly this report.

  1. 1

Google Ads → left nav → Insights and reports → Search terms. It sits directly under Insights and reports — no need to open a specific campaign first.

  2. 2

Filter the report to your AI Max (or Performance Max) campaign, then set the date range you want analyzed.

  3. 3

Click the columns icon and make sure these are shown: Search term, Clicks, Impr., Conversions, Cost, Conv. value.

  4. 4

    Download → CSV.

  5. 5

Know your average gross margin %, if you have one — you’ll be asked for it on the next screen. Leave it blank and we’ll show revenue and ROAS only.

On margin:margin doesn't exist in any ad platform. If you give us an average gross margin %, we'll estimate margin dollars per intent group alongside the real revenue Google reports. Leave it blank and we'll show revenue and ROAS only — never a guessed margin.

What gets grouped

Five intent buckets. Not just one number.

01

Problem aware

Describes a need, not a product. “dry sensitive skin relief.”

02

Comparison

Weighing options. “best serum vs cream,” “brand alternatives.”

03

Brand aware

Names your brand, or a close misspelling of it.

04

Urgent purchase

Ready to buy. “buy,” “near me,” “same day,” “discount code.”

05

Informational

Learning intent. “how to,” “what is,” “guide.”
